BEng degree with a major in Environmental Engineering, an MSc in Marine and Coastal Systems and a PhD in Geology from the Faculty of Sciences of the University. After working in coastal geomorphology and ocean modelling (research) and as an environmental manager (private sector), she was the coordinator of the Research Vessels and Ocean Observatories Group of the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere. Currently works at the Atlantic International Research Centre as Deputy Executive Director for Operations and Development. She is an external collaborator of the Dom Luiz Institute and serves as Secretary of the Assembly of Member of the European Multidisciplinary Seafloor and Water Column Observatory. She has authored and co-authored several research articles and performed as reviewer for several indexed journals. From 2016 to 2021 she served as Editor for the Ocean and Coastal Management journal.
